This past Saturday was my much-anticipated signing appearance at the Gettysburg Civil War Wax Museum that helped kick off Commemoration Week for the 150th anniversary of the battle. Maria (aka my agent) and I had a blast, and coordinators Tammy Myers and Marilyn Justice were wonderful. It's funny how Aunt Terri and Uncle Mike were making predictions in the book (2010) for what the 150th would be like in town...boy, were they right! I'm proud to say that on our signing day Last Ghost at Gettysburg outsold every author there (and there were many) except multiple New York Times bestseller Jeff Shaara (Gods and Generals), who by the way is a nice guy. I met great people from all over the country (some decked out in Civil War garb) who loved the concept of Last Ghost. Hopefully this success will lead to return visits, and the book being sold all over town. Maria and I also got to once again traverse the battlefield and take photos of many venues involved in the plot. A fun way to spend our 27th Anniversary! Hope you enjoy this small sampling of photos from a memorable day.
