After a little trial and error, artist Lynsee Lauritsen and I arrived at this image for our cover. The hardest thing was the shadowing and tinting to give a night effect while maintaining the proper amount of detail. I hope you'll agree that Lynsee did a great job. I always wanted the mounted rider on the rearing horse, but the Confederate flag was purely her idea-a great touch.
