I guess life DOES imitate art. Roberto's Return will be the topic on August 7 at 2:00 PM when I will be the featured speaker in the National Baseball Hall of Fame's Summer Author Series. What an honor to be asked to talk about the book and its Cooperstown-venue plot. I'll be presenting in the Bullpen Theater, which is the site of one of the early chapter events in the novel. For a baseball writer, this is nirvana. As Bortnicker would say, "Way cool!"

A few weeks ago we received word that Roberto's Return had been accepted for sale by the National Baseball Hall of Fame's bookstore. What an honor! So, we decided to personally deliver the first shipment to purchasing director Drew Taylor. The T.J. publicity team kicked into gear and we ended up spending a hectic yet rewarding day in Cooperstown. In order, we met Mayor Jeff Katz, the director of the Public Library, the head of the Chamber of Commerce, and the Hall's director of education. Hopefully T.J. will grace the bookstore's shelves for a good long while. Check out the slideshow from our visit under "News".
