I got this on a dreary winter's day, and it sure cheered me up...so I'm sharing it with you.
Hi Paul,
We met a few weeks ago at the Prospect Library. Just wanted to let you know how much I thoroughly enjoyed reading Last Ghost At Gettsyburg. Quite honestly, although I'm a history buff myself, nothing had ever piqued my interest in Gettysburg until TJ and Bortnicker came along! You're an expert teacher, sneaking in the facts and the inspiration before the students, or readers, even know you've done it! I took my time reading it, with my iPad by my side, to help with looking up stuff as I went along. I even found a soundclip of some old Confederate soldiers in the 1930s recreating the Rebel Yell. With Steely Dan on the turntable, thanks to my husband, we enjoyed all 'the Dan' references tremendously. Great job!
So in the spirit of not letting a good thing end, just wanted to tell you that like Bortnicker on page 102, I second that emotion, and I'm off to Bermuda with the kids. What fun.
