With a publication target date of March 25, things are getting hectic. In the past two weeks I've attended The Big Book Club conference at Mohigan Sun Casino, where I had the opportunity to chat with best-selling author Brad Meltzer; been interviewed by the Westport News and our CMS school paper, The Colt; set up interviews with the Fairfield Patch and the Staples HS newspaper, Inklings; been contacted by a museum in Gettysburg about a possible promotional appearance, and arranged a meeting with the Westport Public Library about a spring event coordinated with our schools. I'm still hoping to connect with our own library here in Fairfield, as well as our historical society. I'm also trying to get the book into as many gift shops in and around Gettysburg as possible, and will be sending advance copies for review to the major Civil War National Park museum gift shops for inspection. Meanwhile, good friends Mark and Andrea Rosenbloom, owners of Hobbytown USA franchises in Fairfield and Stamford, are distributing promo cards for the book, and we're discussing appearances at those sites.
